Appleton said that Jim Tyrone has joined the company as senior vice president and will be responsible for Appleton’s thermal paper business unit and have oversight of the company’s paper manufacturing operations, as PaperAge informed Lesprom Network. Appleton also announced that Sarah Macdonald will serve as vice president of the carbonless business unit which includes responsibility for carbonless and security papers. She has been serving as Appleton’s vice president of global sales and general manager of international. Tyrone most recently served as senior vice president of sales and marketing for NewPage Corporation. He served in the same capacity with MeadWestvaco prior to its spinoff of NewPage. Appleton produces carbonless, thermal, security and performance packaging products.
