As a result of the global financial crisis, Brazilian pulp manufacturer Aracruz Celulose S.A. intends to postpone the implementation of its extensive Guaíba II, Veracel II, and Minas Gerais expansion projects, the company reported. The investment planned for the new pulp line in Guaíba is to be suspended for at least one year. In addition to this, Aracruz also wants to temporarily shelve the purchase of land and the development of forests for the Veracel II and Minas Gerais projects.
