Feb 02, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. On February, 1 2005 Archbum, exclusive distributor of Arkhangelsky pulp and paper enterprise, sent first containers by train. In late December the first train carrying 43 standard 40-feet containers loaded with 1200 tons of cardboard was sent to the Saint-Petersburg trade seaport. In January 2005 Archbum already sent 2 trains. Archbum deputy-director on transportation Vasili Knyrevich said that it takes an average of day 1 to load, unlike other enterprises that spend 3-4 days loading a cargo train. This allows to save money reducing the term of carriage rent. The customers are those who benefit from the container cargo transportation, which reduces time and expenses on the unloading and trans shipping of the cargo. Arkhangelsky built a special container unloading terminal for these purposes. This will allow Archbum to double the unloading volumes. In 2004 Archbum delivered 100 containers monthly, 194 containers were delivered.
