Arkhangelsky PPM (Arkhangelsk region, Russia) increased pulp cooking in January-August by 0.9% compared to the same period last year to 550 965 tonnes, company reported. Market pulp cooking increased 0.2% to 153 008 tonnes. Paper production climbed 1.4% to 55 473 tonnes, containerboard output was up 0.9% to 313 533 tonnes, corrugated cardboard production was up 0.7% to 83.4 million square meters, fiberboard production – 1.6% up to 5 616 800 square meters. Pulp cooking exceeded target by 0.8% and generated 70 825 tonnes in August 2005. Market pulp production was 19 780 tonnes (+0.2%), paper production – 7 080 tonnes (+1.4%), containerboard production – 40 215 tonnes (+0.4%), corrugated cardboard production – 11.7 million square meters (+2.7%).
