Nov 08, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. The Expert RA rating agency heightened the ecological rating of Arkhangelsky pulp-and-paper mill, Arkhangelsk region, Russia, to the ecoB++ level. At that, ecological responsibility level of the company is estimated as sufficient and ecological risks are moderate. Integrated ecological management system has been introduced on Arkhangelsky PPM in 2003-2004. After the audit in June 2004 Arkhangelsky PPM has obtained national and international certificates. Furthermore, active works on sustainable forest management introducing were conducted on enterprises-suppliers according to FSC requests. In spite of some measures and positive trend to reduce emissions volume Arkhangelsky PPM is still failing to satisfy some standards.
