BAKU (Interfax) - Azerbaijan posted industrial output of 14.87 trillion manats in the first ten months of 2001, up 4.7% year-on- year. The biggest growth was posted in the construction materials industry at 80%, metallurgy at 46.1% and in the food industry at 9.9%, the state statistics committee reported. Output increased 5.6% in the oil and gas industry. Production dropped 21.1% in the refinery business, 24.4% for chemicals and petrochemicals, and 14% in the wood processing industry.
