Ballarpur Industries Ltd. has increased the prices of coated paper by 1,500 rupees ($35) a tonne and about 800 rupees ($18.6) a tonne for un-coated paper, Reuters reported. With the new revision, which comes into effect from July 1, the prices of coated paper will be 46,500-47,000 rupees ($1074-1085) a tonne while the prices of un-coated paper will be around 43,000 rupees ($1000) a tonne, the official said. Ballarpur Industries Ltd. is a India's largest manufacturer and exporter of paper, with a strong presence in all segments of the usage spectrum, including writing and printing paper, industrial paper and speciality paper.
