Apr 28, 2008. /Lesprom.com/. Botnia said that it would cut back its pulp production during spring and summer because of shortages of wood raw material, EUWID pulp and paper reported. Since the timber situaton is most acute in Southern Finland the need for production cut-backs is greatest at the Rauma and Joutseno mills, the company explained. However, no details on the volume of the cutback were available. Botnia said that the amount of the curtailment would depend on the present wood supply situation.
Botnia manufactures high quality bleached pulp grades under the name Botnia. Botnia is owned by M-real Oyj, Metsaliitto Osuuskunta, and UPM-Kymmene Oyj. Our pulp mills are located in Joutseno, Kaskinen, Kemi, Rauma, and Aanekoski.
