Output in British Columbia remained strongest, totaling 1.1 billion board feet for April, a 4% rise from March. The four-month total of 4.1 billion board feet was a 6% gain, with the Southern Interior up 19% to 1.1 billion board feet and the Coast up 17% to 445 million board feet. Another double-digit percentage increase came in Ontario, up 18% to 512 million board feet, although April output had declined 5% from March.
