May 01, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Canfor Corporation announced that after serving as Canfor's Chairman since 1982, Peter Bentley has decided to step down as Chairman of the Board effective April 30. Mr. Bentley will remain as director of the Company and has been appointed Chairman Emeritus, as the company informed Lesprom Network. We are pleased that he will be remaining as a director and continuing to provide management with his guidance and support." Mr. Ron Cliff has been appointed the Chairman of the Board of Canfor. Mr. Cliff has been a director of the Company since 1983 and was formerly Chairman of the Board of BC Gas Inc., now Terasen Inc.
