Cascades Tissue Group recently acquired a new rewinder for its plant in Pittston, Pennsylvania, USA, as PaperAge reported. “Cascades has been manufacturing paper tissue in the U.S. for over 20 years. To face the growing demand from retailers for our private labels, which are made almost entirely of recycled fiber, we decided to modernize our plant by investing $8 million towards the acquisition of a new rewinder,” said Suzanne Blanchet, President and CEO at Cascades Tissue Group. The new rewinder, manufactured by tissue converting equipment manufacturer Fabio Perini, is a "Mile 5.1" model. Cascades Tissue Group, a division of Cascades inc., is the fourth largest manufacturer of tissue paper in North America.
