Jun 23, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. The ЕF Group has acquired the infrastructure consulting company Infraplan AB. Established in 1994, Infraplan is located in Umeе in the north of Sweden and currently has 12 employees. In the first instance, the acquisition of Infraplan consolidates the strengths of the ЕF Group's infrastructure division, adding leading edge expertise and bringing valuable new customer contacts both in Sweden and elsewhere. Infraplan consultants work primarily with urban and rural planning, and with road and rail studies at both the visionary and the more systematic level for national, regional, municipal and individual projects. The majority of the assignments that Infraplan works with are carried out in Sweden, but the company has also been involved in numerous projects in Finland, Russia, Norway, Costa Rica, South Africa and Chile. Infraplan's clients are to be found among government departments, local government units at both primary and secondary level, industry and commerce, and organisations that promote regional cross-border cooperation.
