Apr 08, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. German EWD will build a large timber industry enterprise in Poland, spokesperson for EWD-Russia told Lesprom.ru. The new enterprise will combine linear-sawing, million and round-sawing equipment. The following combination allows the sawing of logs with the diameter up to 700 mm. The production capacity of the enterprise will reach 300000 cub m/yr. The construction will be finished in March 2006. EWD was established in 1996 as a result of merger of Esterer AG and Wurster&Dientz GmbH & Co. The company specializes in the production of sawing equipment of all types as well as the building and launch of sawing enteprises with the production capacity beginning from 25000 cub m of round timber/day/year.
