Eneco will install a new secondary superheater in the circulating fluidized bed boiler at its Bio Golden Raand biomass plant in Delfzijl, the Netherlands, according to the technology supplier Valmet.
The delivery includes a turn-key replacement covering engineering, manufacturing, and installation. The new superheater is designed as a one-to-one replacement to enable seamless integration with the existing CFB boiler and minimize installation time during the planned outage. Installation will be carried out by Valmet’s own service team.
The CFB boiler was originally supplied by Valmet in 2013. The combined heat and power plant uses recycled wood as fuel to produce renewable electricity for the local community and steam for an industrial plant.
No order value was disclosed. Delivery and installation are scheduled for March 2027.
