European Commission clears acquisition of DBS by PontMeyer
The European Commission has approved under the EU Merger Regulation the acquisition of Deli Building Supplies B.V. ('DBS') by PontMeyer N. V., both of the Netherlands.

acquisition of Deli Building Supplies B.V. ('DBS') by PontMeyer N. V., both of
the Netherlands.
The Commission concluded that the proposed transaction would raise no
competition concerns as a number of alternative players will compete with the
merged entity at all levels of the value chain, both at national and local
level. The operation was examined under the normal merger procedure, as the European
Commission said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
PontMeyer is ultimately controlled by HAL Investments B.V. PontMeyer
supplies timber and building materials in the Netherlands, both as a wholesaler
and through retail stores such as Trima or Van Dam.
DBS is a holding company of several wholesalers and retailers of timber
and building materials, such as Jongeneel, RET Bouwproducten or Astrimex.
