France ratified EFI Convention
Jan 28, 2013. France has ratified the Convention on the European Forest Institute (EFI). The Convention on EFI has now been ratified by a total of 24 European countries. Entry into force will take place on 11 March 2013.
Jan 28, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. France has ratified the Convention on the European Forest Institute (EFI). The Convention on EFI has now been ratified by a total of 24 European countries. Entry into force will take place on 11 March 2013, as the EFI said in a press release received by Lesprom Network.
The ratifying countries are now Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the UK.
These countries are Members of the Institute. They hold the highest decision making body of the Institute, and they meet in ordinary session every three years. Croatia holds the Chairmanship of the Council for the period 2011–2014.
The European Forest Institute (EFI) is an international organisation established by European States. By the spring of 2011, a total of 23 European States had ratified the Convention on EFI, namely Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.
