French manufacturer of wood products for the wine industry Oeneo officially opened in the middle of November 2005 a high technology stoppers plant in San Vicente de Alcantara, Estremadura, central-western Spain, the company said. Oeneo offers wood-made products and services for the international wine market. The group makes wine oak barrels for vineyards and wine merchants; bottle stoppers for wines, champagnes and other sparkling drinks, and is also engaged in the production of wooden floors. Oeneo posted a turnover of Euro 105 million for the first nine months of 2005, down 15.4% year-on-year.
