Gunns and the CFMEU will be conducting site information briefing sessions over the next 2 business days to provide clarity to staff affected by the closure of the Gunns native forest operations, as the company said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. The sessions will outline the payments to employees as required under the existing employment conditions and amounts that will be available to them under the Tasmanian Forest Agreement. Payments will be made on the due date as advised to each site. Gunns is committed to an orderly withdrawal from the native forest sector and will ensure that all employees receive their full entitlements.
