Aug 29, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Huhtamaki has acquired Interpac Packaging Limited based in Auckland, New Zealand. All shares of the privately owned Interpac Packaging Limited were acquired for a purchase price of approximately Euro 7 million. The acquired unit will become part of Huhtamaki's Foodservice Europe-Asia-Oceania business segment, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Interpac manufactures folded carton packaging for the fast-moving consumer goods and retail products as well as the foodservice market in New Zealand. It also manufactures corrugated protective packaging for the local wine industry. The company employs 85 people.

Huhtamaki Group is a leading manufacturer of consumer and specialty packaging with 2013 net sales totaling Euro 2.3 billion.
