Kamennogorskaya offset paper mill (Leningrad region, Russia, owned by North-West Timber Industry Company) is installing the equipment necessary for paper recycling, corporate public-affairs announced. As reported earlier, in 2004 NWTIC signed an agreement with the French Kadant-Lamort to purchase equipment for paper recycling for Kamennogorskaya. The main goal of the project is to increase the quality of paper goods by using modern technologies. The cost of the project is estimated at EUR 5 million. After the launch of the new paper recycling line Kamennogorskaya will be able to process old books, magazines, office paper waste and other b/w print paper, including coated paper. The equipment and technologies supplied by Kadant-Ladent allow to reach the production capacity of 80 tons of dry mass/day.
