Nov 20, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. Tomas Mateos Werner, the CEO of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC, and Andrei Ptichnikov, the Director of Regional FSC Office in CIS, have signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Supporting the green course of Kazakh government and trying to retain forest resources, also acknowledging the importance of cooperation in a field of eco-packaging, the Parties agreed to cooperate in development of the idea of eco- packaging and voluntary forest certification in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan Kagazy and FSC plan to hold informational events for the purpose of increasing public awareness and that of business representatives about responsible forest use.

Cooperation of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC with Forest Stewardship Council is a part of widespread green initiative of the Company called Going Green. FSC Membership confirms that Kazakhstan Kagazy products are manufactured only from secondary raw materials and certified at all stages: starting from production to sales.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-commercial organization established with the purpose to assist to responsible world forest resources management.

Kazakhstan Kagazy is the largest recycler and producer of paper and packaging in Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
