The Board of Directors declared the dividend payable on April 2, 2009, to stockholders of record on March 6, 2009. This is the 37th consecutive year Kimberly-Clark has raised its dividend.
"The strength of our cash flow and balance sheet gives us confidence to increase the dividend despite the current global economic weakness," said Thomas J. Falk, Chairman and CEO. "We recognize that an attractive dividend yield is an important consideration for shareholders and we are committed to maintaining Kimberly-Clark's rating as a top-tier dividend payer among consumer packaged goods companies."
