Mar 13, 2015. /Lesprom Network/. Komatsu Forest have launched a new, unique hydraulic pump system – 3PS – that effectively helps increase productivity and improve fuel economy. The new triple pump system is the first hydraulic system that enables forest machine operators to perform several tasks at the same time, thereby increasing production, as the company said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Since the new hydraulic system has three hydraulic pumps split into several hydraulic circuits, high hydraulic power availability is always guaranteed. This enables the operator to use several hydraulic functions at the same time without the machine being limited by the availability of hydraulic power and hydraulic flow.

Parallel to this, the energy efficiency of the new triple pump system results in fuel savings for the machine owner as fuel consumption per processed cubic foot is considerably lower compared to a harvester without a triple pump system.
