Sep 03, 2009. /Lesprom Network/. Kruger Inc. will extend by two weeks the curtailment at its Brompton (Sherbrooke) mill. Newsprint production, which has been interrupted since August 15, is now scheduled to resume on September 22, as PaperAge reported.
Kruger said it came to this decision due to the high value of the Canadian dollar and the low price of newsprint. The Brompton mill has an annual newsprint capacity of 310 thousand metric tons (840 tons per day).
