In January-May 2005 Solombalsky saw and timber-processing enterprise (Arkhangelsk region, Russia) increased logs removal 5% to 557.7 thousand cub m compared to January-May 2004. In May 2005 Solombalsky reduced logs removal 27% to 13.5 thousand cub m. Solombalsky was established in 1929, in 1992 the enterprise was transferred into Solombalsky saw and timber-processing enterprise.The enterprise produces sawn timber for export (exports account for 65% of the production output). The enterprise also produces tare, carpenter’s and building goods, wooden chips for pulp and paper production. The sawing capaicty of the enterprise is up to 700 thousand cub m/yr. The enterprise exports its goods to the UK, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Egypt.
