As part of M-real's re-engineering programme relating to its operations in Finland, the company has decided to close its Tampere-based Tako board mill's board machine line №2. The line produces folding boxboard and its annual capacity is 70 000 tonnes. The closed line's production will mostly be transferred to M-real consumer packaging business area's other machines located in Finland. The №2 board line is planned to be closed by 31 July 2007. The impacts on personnel will be assessed locally as part of Pirkanmaa statutory workplace consultations as part of M-real's re-engineering programme for operations in Finland.
