Nov 21, 2013. /Lesprom Network/. The new cartonboard grade FOODBOARDTM is a protected internal development representing a quantum leap in the protection of cartonboard packed foodstuff, as Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

The core component is an innovative, ecologically sensitive and consumer friendly barrier concept. Thereby packaged food is perfectly shielded against unintended substances from the packaging environment.

Long-term series tests have been successfully completed and a special capital investment in a mid-double-digit million euro amount has been approved. At the end of 2014 FOODBOARDTM will be supplied from the Austrian parent plant of MM Karton in Frohnleiten.
