Mar 23, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Neenah Paper announced it was launching a new brand of fine papers, called the Eames(TM) Paper Collection. The brand features three palettes and unique surface finishes previously unexplored on paper and was inspired by the legendary designers Charles and Ray Eames. The finishes not only embrace the Eames spirit in principle, but also specifically connect to the textures, patterns and colors found in their architecture, design and photography and the Collection was developed to give graphic designers and paper enthusiasts a new toolkit of papers to inspire their printed promotions and projects. "Neenah Paper is reinforcing its leadership role with this exciting new paper," said Bill O'Connor, President, Paper Group. "It will serve to energize and augment our other brands. The popularity and extensive influence of Charles and Ray Eames will help us leverage their name among designers and consumers by delivering a quality experience." "We are thrilled to work with Neenah Paper to introduce this cutting-edge paper," said Eames Demetrios, the designers' grandson and Director of the Eames Office, which is committed to communicating, preserving and extending their legacy and work. "Charles Eames was known for saying, 'Take your pleasure seriously.' It is in that same spirit that we have designed a paper to not only be fun and exciting but also remain environmentally sensitive." The new papers will be manufactured at Neenah Paper's fine paper mills in Wisconsin and certain grades will also utilize technologies from the Munising, Michigan technical paper plant. Shipments for the Eames(TM) Paper Collection are expected to begin in the second quarter.
