Nine Dragons starts third Chongqing paper production line

Dec 02, 2010. /Lesprom Network/. Nine Dragons Paper Holdings Ltd has kicked off construction on its third Chongqing-based paper production line that will cost RMB 2 billion ($301 million), Hong Kong Trade Development Council reported.
The production line, located in Luohuang Industrial Park, Jiangjin District of the city, will be completed in the first half of 2012 with a designed annual output capacity of 500,000 tons, which will meet the demands in Chongqing, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Guizhou Province and Yunnan Province.
The new project is expected to provide 1,200 jobs.
Board Chairman Zhang Yin said the firm started the new production line one year ahead of schedule due to strong market demand.
In addition, Nine Dragons Paper intends to start its sixth production base with output capacity exceeding 1 million tons in Northeast China, but the timetable and financial figures of the plans have yet been disclosed.
