Oji Paper Co. will acquire CVC Asia Pacific Ltd.’s Paper Box Holdings, Malaysia’s biggest cardboard maker, to boost its presence in Southeast Asia, as Business Times – Malaysia reported. The Japanese paper company didn’t provide a purchase price or identify the advisers involved in the transaction. Tokyo-based Oji will buy all outstanding shares in Paper Box Holdings to become the leading company in the cardboard market in Malaysia, the company said. Oji is scheduled to acquire the shares as early as in April.
