Jan 27, 2005. /Lesprom Network/. Russian Balahninsky pulp and paper enterprise (Nizhny Novgorod region) increased paper production 1.7% to 565.107 thousand tons in 2004 compared to 2003. Newsprint production increased 2.1% to 522.701 thousand tons, package paper – down 13.5% to 12.406 thousand tons. Newsprint production for export reduced 6% to 335.093 thousand tons. Overall production of commodities increased 1.7% to RUR 6.444054 billion. Balahninsky is one of the largest newsprint-producing enterprises in Russia.
