Pfeifer Group has completed the planning phase for the construction of a cross-laminated timber plant in Lauterbach, Germany, and is starting to take action to implement it. The investment volume will be around Euro 30 million, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
Construction work is expected to begin in autumn 2017. Production capacity is designed to achieve 100,000 cubic metres of cross-laminated timber per year.
For Pfeifer, this investment is a further step towards consolidating and expanding its existing market position, besides further completing Pfeifer Group's portfolio in the field of timber construction.
