In this role, Manning will oversee Plum Creek’s financial reporting and related Securities and Exchange Commission compliance activities as well as other financial activities such as management’s assessment of internal control. Manning, 37, joined Plum Creek in 2002 as senior manager, resource accounting, where he served until being promoted to director, financial reporting in 2004. In this new role, Manning will continue to report to David Brown, vice president, chief accounting officer. Plum Creek is the largest and most geographically diverse private landowner in the nation with approximately 8 million acres of timberlands in major timber producing regions of the United States and 10 wood products manufacturing facilities in the Northwest.
