In his new position, Mertanen is responsible for Ponsse's service operations and their global development. Mertanen was also invited to join the company's Management Team. Tapio Mertanen began his employment with Ponsse Plc in 1994. He assumes his new position after having last worked as the Global Distribution Development Director. Mertanen starts in his new position on May 3, 2010, when the current Service Director, Juhani Mäkynen, joins a new employer. Mertanen reports to Sales and Marketing Director Jarmo Vidgrén. Ponsse Plc specialises in the sales, production, maintenance and technology of cut-to-length forest machines.
