Rengo has started work on the construction of a new logistics center - tentatively named Yodogawa Logistics Center - at Fukushima-ku, Osaka-shi, Japan. Expected commencement of operations is within FY 2021, as the company says in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
A multi-tenant logistics warehouse is being constructed jointly with Sumitomo Corporation at the site, and a portion of the warehouse is planned to serve as the Rengo Group’s logistics center.
Upon completion, as the Rengo Group’s largest logistics center in the Kansai region, the center will seek to bring efficiency to logistics and improve transportation quality and service. At the same time, it will promote the operational reform of logistics sites, and contribute to work style reform for truck drivers from a shipper company standpoint.
