The Federal service of environment usage control (Rosprirodnadzor) will inspect the observance of environment protection legislation on lake Baikal (Irkutsk region, Russia), the Ministry of natural resources of reported. Rosprirodnadzor exports will make an inspection in Buriatia Republic and Irkutsk region. The inspection will also be carried out by the Ministry of natural resources, Rosvodresursy (Russian water resources), Rosleskhoz (Russian timber sector), Rostechnadzor (Russian technical commission), Rospotrebnadzor (Russian consumer commission) as well as by a number of scientific institutions and NGOs dealing with Baikal environmental protection. East-Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline will undergo thorough inspection, the reorganization of Baikalsky pulp and paper enterprise will also be examined by experts. These 2 environment protection issues cause significant concerns both in Russia and abroad. In the course of the inspection the sanitary state and building on the Baikal coasts will be estimated. Aerospace monitoring will be the main source of information for these purposes. The revision commission has the rights to take necessary measures in order to eliminate violations, sue the guilty individuals and demand compensation.
