May 28 (Interfax) - Russia-EU trade turnover totaled 82.1 billion euros in 2001, up 26.9% from 2000, the Economic Development Ministry's press service said prior to the upcoming summit between Russia and the European Union.
Russia exported 54.4 billion euros worth of products to EU countries last year, up from 45 billion euros in 2000. Russia's import totaled 27.7 billion euros, up from 19.7 billion euros over the same period.
The European Union accounts for more than a third of Russia's foreign trade, the press service's statement reads.
