Russian-Japanese joint-venture timber-processing enterprise was opened in Novaya Igirma, Irkutsk regional administration chief of public-affairs Tatiana Yurasova told Lesprom.ru. The enterprise will produce 583 thousand cub m/yr. The opening was attended by Irkutsk region governor Boris Govorin and his deputy on timber sector and timber-processing industry Georgi Trifonov. The timber-processsing enterprise consists of an automatic round logs sorting line with the capacity of 600 thousand cub m/yr, sawing workshop to produce various timber products (200 thousand cub m/yr), drying complex to produce dry sawn timber (180-200 thousand cub m/yr), dry shaven products (100-120 thousand cub m/ur) and a storage site for ready products. 231.9 cub m of goods will be exported annually, mainly cant and linear goods. The enterprise was built by Sibexportles-Tairiku. Sibexportles-Tairiku is an affiliated enterprise of Igirma Tairiku, established by Japanese Tairiku Trading (49%) and Irkutsk regional administration (51%). Annual timber-procession volume is 1 million cub m, including 850 thousand cub m of own timber products. The main production trend produced by the enterprise is sawn timber (over 250 thousand cub m), wood chips (over 200 thousand cub m) and pulpwood.
