Russian 1Q industrial production index reached 103.9% compared to 1Q 2004, 104.0% in March 2005 compared to March 2004, 108.1% compared to February 2005, according to the report published by Rosstat. The largest production growth was witnessed in the timber-processig industry – 1Q sawn timber production increased 5.8%, plywood – up 10.7%, hardboard – up 6.2%, particleboard – up 6.6%.
Newsprint publishing increased 22.3% in March 2005 compared to March 2004.
