Sweden-based IT group WM-data AB said on May 31, 2006 it extended and expanded an existing outsourcing agreement for the IT operations of the company SCA Packaging Sweden AB. No financial details were available. The extended contract will run for three years and includes a two-year extension option. WM-data will be the prime contractor for subcontractors, and will bear the full responsibility for applications and server management, capacity services, and client support. WM-data was selected among other bidders in a procurement procedure. SCA Packaging outsourced its IT operations to WM-data in 2002. SCA Packaging Sweden is a division of pulp and paper group Svenska Cellulosa AB (SCA).
