"The new concept will tie our product range together and it feels very positive to be offering flooring that is largely derived from the raw materials growing in our members' certified forests, and produced in our own mills with high environmental standards," says Håkan Svensson, President of the Södra Wood business area.
The new range includes a variety of solid and parquet wood flooring in oak, pine and ash in a light and natural shade, and pine and oak in a dark shade.
"The concept is unique because we have control over the entire production chain. When we develop new products, we mostly manage the entire chain from seedling, and in this case, to finished flooring and can thus ensure that far-reaching environmental considerations have been incorporated at all levels. When customers lay flooring from Södra, it is reassuring to know that the flooring is made from locally produced raw materials, in mills that use by-products from the forest and their own manufacturing processes to generate energy," says Håkan Svensson.
