Serbian Sloga privatisation tender fails
. The Serbian Privatisation Agency rejected the single bid of an international consortium for the sell-off of a 70% socially-owned stake in wood processing and furniture company Sloga.

The Serbian Privatisation Agency rejected the single bid of an international consortium for the sell-off of a 70% socially-owned stake in wood processing and furniture company Sloga. The consortium was formed by the companies Arizona USA, Dunav Holdings Inc, Pies Unikum and local businessman Vlajko Mitrovic. The agency will hold a new tender for the privatisation of Sloga in the next few months, company's director Zivko Stamenkovic said.
French furniture producer Delagrave, Swedish furniture retail chain IKEA and several unnamed Slovenian companies are interested in Sloga, Mr. Stamenkovic added.
Sloga has a staff of 384 people.
Socially owned companies are a corporate ownership concept dating back to former communist Yugoslavia, under which workers nominally owned their companies.
