Slovenia: Value of purchased roundwood down 17% in July
Slovenia's total value of roundwood purchased in July 2014 amounted to Euro 3.1 million, which is about 17% less than in the previous month. The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 23%, and of other industrial roundwood by about 12%, while the value of purchased wood fuel was higher by about 29% and of pulpwood by about 6%.

roundwood purchased in July 2014 amounted to Euro 3.1 million, which is about
17% less than in the previous month, as the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia said in the press
release received by Lesprom Network.
The value of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was lower by about 23%,
and of other industrial roundwood by about 12%, while the value of purchased
wood fuel was higher by about 29% and of pulpwood by about 6%.
The total value of roundwood purchased in July 2014 was about 8% higher
than in July 2013, mainly due to higher quantity of purchased wood. The value
of purchased sawlogs and veneer logs was higher by almost 5%, of pulpwood by
almost 32% and of other industrial roundwood by about 35%. The value of
purchased wood fuel was lower by about 12% (the quantity of purchased wood fuel
conifers was much higher, while the quantity of purchased wood fuel
non-conifers was lower than a year ago).
