Sweden’s roundwood exports increased by 15% in 2013
Exports of Sweden’s roundwood increased by 15 % to 914,500 m³ fub (cubic metre solid volume excluding bark) in 2013. Both spruce sawlogs and spruce pulpwood, which accounted for 23 % and 37% of the total roundwood exports rose by 1 % and 6% in 2013 compared to 2012.

increased by 15 % to 914,500 m³ fub (cubic metre solid volume excluding bark)
in 2013, as Swedish Forest Agency said in the press release received by Lesprom
Network.
Both spruce sawlogs and spruce pulpwood, which accounted for 23 % and 37%
of the total roundwood exports rose by 1 % and 6% in 2013 compared to 2012.
Exports of other roundwood which mainly consists of poles doubled to 158,000
m³fub.
In contrast, exports of pine sawlogs declined by 24% to 103,000 m³ fub.
More than 70% of the roundwood was exported to the Nordic countries in 2013,
mainly to Norway.
