Oct 22, 2014. /Lesprom Network/. Sawlog prices (delivery timber) decreased by 6% in the 3Q 2014 compared to the prior quarter. Pulpwood prices decreased by 2% compared to the prior quarter. Sawlog prices decreased in the Northern and Southern Region by 1% and 12%, respectively, while the sawlog prices rose in the Central Region with 2%, as the Swedish Forest Agency said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.

Pulpwood prices decreased in both the Northern and Central region by 2% respectively and the pulpwood prices in the Southern region decreased by 1% compared to the prior quarter.

When comparing the 3Q 2014 and the same quarter of 2013, sawlog prices rose by 2% while the pulpwood prices decreased by 5%.
