Temple-Inland Inc. has reported a 4Q net loss of $6.0 million or $0.06 per share, compared net income of $1.2 billion or $10.76 per share in the same quarter last year, the company said in a statement received by Lesprom Network. For the full year, Temple-Inland lost $8 million, or 8 cents per share compared with earnings of $1.31 billion, or $12.08 per share, in 2007. Full-year revenue totaled $3.89 billion, down from $3.93 billion in 2007. Excluding special items net income was $0.11 per share, compared to net income of $0.23 per share in the year ago quarter. Total revenues for the quarter increased to $973 million from $937 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected the company to report revenue of $908.32 million for the quarter. Temple-Inland Inc. is a manufacturing company focused on corrugated packaging and building products. The fully integrated corrugated packaging operation consists of 7 mills and 63 converting facilities.
