Governmental inspectors required that JSC Terneiles stop preliminary works at the timber port construction site at the mouth of Adimi River, because it failed to obtain all necessary approvals and environmental impact assessments. According to NGO "Brok", Terneiles intends to construct in the above said cove a complex for shipment to Japan of timber produced in the watershed of Samarga River. However, logging operations were prohibited in that area in 1993, because this area is traditional living and hunting grounds of the local indigenous sub-ethnicity of Udege. Currently, Primorye Natural Resources Authority specialists investigate this incident.
