The Indian Company Pudumjee Industries Ltd. has chosen Italian Manufacturer Toscotec for the rebuild of the tissue machine#6 in Pune, Toscotec said in a press release received by Lesprom Network. In line with this, the company has decided to install a new Toscotec Steel Yankee Dryer TT SYD 12FT, in place of the existing cast iron one, to increase production and to reduce energy consumption. Scope of supply includes also steam & condensate system upgrading, new mechanical drives and fourdrinier modification. Mr. Ved Leekha, Executive Director of Pudumjee Mills, said that the company strategy for the future expansion is focused on quality products with low emission and energy savings. The rebuild will be carried out within the end of this year. Pudumjee (part of M.P. Jatia Group), pioneer in the manufacture of specialty papers in India, is active in manufacturing tissues, real estate development and other trading. Pudumjee is amongst the largest tissue producer in the Indian market.
