Mar 23, 2004. /Lesprom Network/. UK DS Smith (national largest producer of recycled paper board) urgent general meeting approved the acquisition of LINPAC Containers Limited.
DS Smith is a leading UK collector and manufacturer of recovered paper. The company employs 10 thousand employees. In 2002/03 financial year the group recorded a turnover of GBP 1,5 billion, of which 59% derived from UK operations.
As reported earlier, DS Smith will pay GBP 170 million ($315 million) for Linpac Containers Group. After the acquisition of Linpac, DS Smith will become the UK largest corrugated package-producing company.
