Jun 16, 2006. /Lesprom Network/. Finnish UPM is outsourcing the laboratory operations of its Rauma mill to Nab Labs, Esmerk reported. According to Nab Labs, this is the first time in Finland that a forest industry company outsources its laboratory operations on this scale to an outside service provider. UPM's 25 laboratory employees will transfer to Nab Labs. All in all, Nab Labs' Rauma unit will employ about 60 people. The company believes the unit will have enough assignments from the Finnish forest industry.
